PLANTAR FASCIITIS
Plantar fasciitis is one of the most common conditions that causes heel pain and can affect people from all walks of life, from elderly people to athletes. It is caused by chronic overloading of the plantar fascia by long periods of weight bearing or sudden changes in activity levels. At Right Path Podiatry we assess your feet to make sure that the correct diagnosis is made. We then focus on the best prevention and treatment plan which can include stretching, exercises, massage, changes in lifestyle, change of footwear and possibly orthotics if there is an underlying biomechanical cause.
Specialised treatments may be recommended for more complicated chronic injuries. For example, we offer laser and shockwave therapies at our clinic.
