HIGH ARCHES
High foot arches are much less common than flat feet. They can be caused by a bone (orthopedic) or nerve (neurological) condition. Unlike flat feet, highly arched feet tend to be more painful and cause more problems. This is so because more stress is placed on the section of the foot at the heel and the balls of the foot (metatarsals). High arched feet tend to put more stress or impact through the foot, ankle, knee, hips and lower back.
We will assess and treat the posture of your arches or symptoms with a variety of methods which may include the use of customised Orthotic devices to provide arch support, supportive footwear advice and exercises.
